Matryx is the name of the innovative technology patented by Hoka One One, regarding the construction of the upper.

It consists in the use of a fiber made of Kevlar material, whose main characteristic is the high tensile strength, compression, bending and cutting (also used as reinforcement fiber in the construction of bullet-proof vests): resistance to wear is therefore guaranteed, even in the most extreme situations.

Nevertheless the upper is not rough and rough, as the surface coating gives a velvety feel to the touch.

This special fiber makes the shoe's toe box even more comfortable than in previous editions.
