Running and Nordic Walking Shoes 

Tony was born and raised in Colorado, he studied in Tulsa where he became the captain of the college's Tuck & Cross Country team. At this time, Tony fell in love with running.

After college Tony moved to Massachusetts to train more intensively with a series of Top Runners from the Boston area. However, training and competitions were hampered and affected by injuries, overtraining or unsuitable footwear. After a 2:25 at the Boston marathon, Tony realized that he could only maintain himself thanks to running and began working for a small family-run shoe factory, The Rockport Company.

Rockport was inspired by running technology and was the first company to transfer technical concepts to the production of classic shoes.

Tony decided to run the London marathon in 1992 with a pair of classic Rockport shoes for ceremony!

After his experience in Rockport Tony worked for Vibram where he invented and patented the Fivefingers.

In 2013, Tony, with a small team of collaborators, founded Topo Athletic, with the stated objective of developing footwear that exalted and at the same time respected the natural capabilities of the human foot. This is not an approach that is neither exclusively minimalist nor maximalist, but offers a range of soles designed to amplify the natural movements of running and fitness.

In 2016, Topo Athletic has become one of the most acclaimed brands in the entire footwear sector.
