In Sacramento, California, a group of top ultra marathon runners, selected from all over the world on May 4, 2019, tried to break the world record in the 100 kilometers, with the new Hoka One One, model Carbon X .

Eight Hoka ultra runners from Japan and the United States have been selected, including Hideaki Yamauchi, the 100 km world champion.

The record to beat for the men's category is 6 h, 09 ', 14 ": the race is at a rate of 3' 41 '' per minute.

Citing President Wendy Yang's words "Project Carbon X celebrates Hoka's vision of giving athletes from around the world the chance to fly above the earth ... Carbon X is designed for athletes of all kinds, who want to get your own personal best ".

Unfortunately the first athlete approached a lot but did not exceed the record for about ten minutes, but it was a very good test for the Carbon X: the most technologically advanced shoe of the brand Hoka One One.
